Weekend happenings

Some photos and brief words of what we have been up to over the past few weekends!

We went to Castlemaine to visit friends and family and to say bon voyage to my family home where I have lived for the past 18 years! Was sad but very exciting and happy for my parents to be moving on to their next adventures!

Had friends come visit, hung out with good friends and family, went to Dan Sultan concert, ate delicious food and drank delicious coffee and beer!

We had no room in the ute for our bikes due to me having to bring all my stuff back so we did some running along the GDT, Al had a mighty tumble (after telling me to watch my feet as I had a near tumble minutes earlier) and as he was running shirtless took a bit of bark off, the ground there is significantly harder than east gippsland ground!!! I did my best to sound concernced and assist without trying not to laugh and to discreetly take photos!

Then we spent a weekend in Melbourne catching up with friends I hadn’t seen for a very long time, boy where did those 5 years go? Scary and was a good kick up the butt not to let another 5 years slip by!

The following weekend Al headed to China for 12 days on a school trip and I was left to fend for myself! Lucky I had a good kelpie to babysit and keep me company for a few days and then my brother made his first voyage down to Marlo to hang out. Good times.

I headed out on some solo rides and this one in particular I fixed a flat, saved a dog from being squashed and successfully navigated my way back home! Win!

I also had a few days in Mallacoota for work and managed to get out on the SUP and MTB, great fun!

Whats next? Well super excited to be heading to Lasseters Easter In The Alice http://easterinthealice.com/ on Wednesday! A super fun, friendly, laid back event that has some big names headed there but also a fatbike category, kids race and all round family fun!! And it’s much warmer there than in Vic!
